The Grace of God reaches out to the unreached.

People who are marginalized, despised, and rejected...these are just the kind of people who have always moved the heart of Jesus Christ.

The word "polygamy" stirs up controversy these days. While mainstream Mormonism rejects polygamy, there is a sizeable segment of population within the Mormon tradition that continues to uphold the principles of early Mormonism...the ones taught by Joseph Smith, Brigham Young, and early Mormon prophets. These so-called "Mormon Fundamentalists" are shunned and vilified as much by their mainstream cousins as they are by society in general.

There certainly are villains among them. The infamous FLDS "prophet" Warren Jeffs, and others like him, have engaged in unspeakable abuses and crimes. And sadly, this is not a rarity among the Mormon Fundamentalists. But the victims of these absues do not escape Jesus' compassionate attention, nor should they escape ours. While society in general is reviled by the tales of abuse and oppression, we seek to bring a message of hope to the victims--the men, women, and children of Mormon Fundamentalism.

And what message is that? That salvation does not require an enslavement to works of any kind--least of all polygamy--to gain His favor. He requires nothing more and nothing less than our faith and trust. This is indescribably Good News! This glorious news of God's grace is the fundamental core of the Gospel of Jesus. News that we desperately want to share with our Fundamentalist Mormon neighbors, our Mainstream Mormon neighbors, and indeed, any neighbor who still hasn't heard of the amazing love and grace of Jesus Christ.

A New Film from Sacred Groves. Tentatively set for release in late 2012 or early 2013, a new film is being produced by Sacred Groves in partnership with our sister ministry, A Shield and Refuge, to share more stories of encountering Jesus Christ through the eyes of former Mormon Fundamentalists. We are now in the process of gathering stories and testimonies from people who come out Fundamentalist Mormon backgrounds. The film's title and certain details are still developing, but we believe that this is where the Lord is leading us in this next year.

This will not be a film about polygamy...at least not principally. Rather, it's a film about God's amazing grace, reaching into some of the most hidden and isolated corners of the Mormon traditions. Most of all, it's a story of rescue and salvation, that will serve as a signpost pointing to the only true hope that any of us have--our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

As with our previous film, Unveiling Grace, we will make the interviews available, in their entirety, for online viewing. We are pleased to share with you our first one...right here!
